Privacy Policy
Applies to all Freedom Forge games and apps, and to this website. Last updated September 5, 2026.
The short version: we do not collect, store, or share any personal data. Our games run fully offline, and Hearth talks only to your own iCloud account. This page exists because app stores require one, and because you deserve to see it in writing.
Our games
This policy covers every game published by Freedom Forge, including Aether Shard and Aether Shard Survival, on every platform where they are sold.
- No data collected. Our games contain no analytics, advertising, or tracking software of any kind.
- No accounts. There is nothing to sign up for. We never ask for your name, email, or any identifier.
- Saves stay on your device. Game progress, settings, and achievements are stored locally on your device and are never transmitted to us.
- No network required. Our games work with no internet connection. Where possible, our Android builds do not request the internet permission at all.
Hearth
Hearth is a family wall calendar that syncs with an Apple household's iCloud calendar, reminders, and shared photo albums. To do that it needs your Apple ID sign-in, which you enter on your own device. Your credentials and session tokens are stored only on that device, encrypted, and are used solely to talk to Apple's servers on your behalf. Nothing is sent to Freedom Forge or to any third party. Weather and radar are fetched from public forecast services using only the location you configure. On iPad, Hearth reads calendars and reminders through Apple's on-device permission prompts and never sees your password at all.
Purchases and platform services
When you buy a game or an in-app unlock, the transaction is handled entirely by the store you bought it from: Google Play, the Apple App Store, or Steam. We receive no payment details. Those platforms have their own privacy policies that govern your account with them.
If you choose to enable optional platform features such as Google Play Games, Apple Game Center, or Steam achievements, those services are operated by their respective platforms under their own policies. Our games only report which achievement you unlocked, and only to the platform you are signed into.
This website
This site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs, such as IP address and requested page, for security and operational purposes.
If you email us, we keep your message so we can reply and follow up on the issue you raised. We do not add you to any marketing list or share your address with anyone.
Children
Because our games collect no data, they collect no data from children. Our games are rated for general or teen audiences by the relevant rating boards; see each store page for its rating.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. We do not plan to start collecting data.
